What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a committed enthusiastic teacher with the ability to teach Business Studies and Computing. This post would be ideal for an ECT or more experienced teacher and the ability to teach one of these subjects to A-Level would be an advantage.

We would consider a July 1st start date for newly qualified ECTs where appropriate and for the right candidate.

What the school offers its staff

Both Business Studies and Computer Science are hugely popular subjects at both GCSE and post-16 and we offer a range of courses including vocational courses for Business Studies in KS4 and 5. Both subjects have a proven track record of exam success and you would be joining an experienced, dedicated team of teachers in well resourced departments. High quality curriculum and lesson resources are available in both subjects to support with planning. We will work with the successful candidate to determine the most appropriate balance of each subject.

Outside the formal curriculum we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and clubs. Our students travel the world – recent trips have been to China, Poland, Berlin, skiing in Utah, and Barcelona, along with many opportunities to attend fieldwork, theatres and museums more locally. Our students are also very active in the community working alongside local and overseas charities to raise money for good causes.

If you feel your values and ethos align with ours, this is an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for someone with energy and vision that is ambitious for themselves and the young people of the school. You will have a growth mindset and believe in offering dynamic Computing learning across the Key Stages.

Working with us offers you the opportunity to;

  • Join a positive school where effort and success is celebrated
  • Engage in excellent and personalised professional development opportunities
  • Have the support of a dynamic leadership team to ‘take risks’ in a supportive environment

So, if…

-you have a passion for teaching and learning…

-you believe in curriculum innovation and enjoy thinking strategically…

-you believe in an aspirational education…

-you believe that better never stops…

…Waingels is the place for you to pursue and advance your career!

Commitment to safeguarding
