The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint a dynamic, proactive candidate to the post of Subject Teacher – Business Studies. This post presents a good opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified practitioner to join the successful and friendly Computing & Business faculty.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to the teaching of KS4 & KS5 Business Studies. We require practitioners who have the enthusiasm, skill and ability to make a positive contribution to this motivated team. Ideally, applicants should have experience of teaching KS5 courses.
Applicants would be working as part of the Computing & Business faculty. They would likely be delivering KS4 and KS5 Business courses. The ability to teach A Level Economics would be a benefit, but is not a requirement. We offer a large range of courses including A Level Economics, A level and L3 BTEC Business, GCSE Business and BTEC Enterprise. We have one class of each KS5 course which have good results that allow students to go on to secure places on Business and Economics degrees. GCSE Business Studies & BTEC Enterprise are also extremely popular, and we have 1 or 2 classes in year 10 and 11 each year. Many students then go on to study Business at KS5. We are ideally looking for a part time teacher working 0.6, but would welcome applications from those wishing to 0.8 or 1.0, especially where there is the ability to teach another subject.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to excellent teaching and learning; to securing good or better outcomes for students; to developing student potential and to promoting the study of the subject in the 6th form. Those expecting to be paid at the upper end of the given pay range will need to evidence how that is merited in their application.
