We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Chemistry to join our Science Faculty from September. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), fostering curiosity, critical thinking and a love of science. You will play a key role in raising attainment, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting the wider life of the academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons in Chemistry that inspire students and secure excellent outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the science curriculum.
- Assess, track and monitor pupil progress, implementing interventions where required.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment.
- Participate in departmental and whole‑school CPD, meetings and initiatives.
- Support and contribute to the wider ethos, activities and values of Longsands Academy.
