Temporary responsibility as Subject Leader for Chemistry (1 year – maternity leave cover)
TLR2B £5,642 p.a.
Are you an ambitious and passionate teacher of science? Are you ready to share your experience and expertise with a dedicated science team? Would you like to contribute to the development of a cohesive department with courses that are very popular at Key Stage 5? Are you able to embed a culture of excellence, high-expectations, and a love of learning? Are you able to motivate and inspire others to deliver the very best curriculum?
We seek to appoint a motivated Teacher of Chemistry to join our successful faculty. For the first year in the role you will also take on the responsibility of Subject Lead for Chemistry during a period of maternity leave. You will have proven yourself as a talented teacher who secures consistently excellent outcomes. You are passionate about teaching, learning and pedagogy and can lead others to improve their practice. You have an excellent subject knowledge and experience of developing an inspiring curriculum.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a passion for teaching
Have excellent teaching skills and an in-depth knowledge of the Chemistry curriculum
Have experience of teaching across Key Stage 4 and 5, including exam groups
Have the ability to inspire, engage and enthuse students
Be skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning
