  • Develop pupil theoretical knowledge alongside practical and vocational skills.
  • Use a range of effective teaching and assessment strategies to support progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback to support improvement.
  • Support pupils to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding required for further study, employment and careers within the childcare sector.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the department and school.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share good practice and develop the Childcare curriculum.
  • Maintain high expectations of pupil behaviour, engagement and achievement.

University Academy Holbeach is an oversubscribed 11-18 academy serving the small town of Holbeach, Spalding, Lincolnshire, The school offers a rich curriculum at KS4 and KS5 with a vast range of subjects on offer. These include GCSE and A-Level qualifications as well as vocational and technical qualifications. The school has recently increased its offer to include a suite of T-Levels.
