Essential Criteria

  • Good honours graduate in Computer Science or Computer Science related subject (preferable 2:1 or first class graduate)
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Successful teaching experience of Computer Science at all key stages
  • Proven track record of at least good teaching in subject area
  • Ability to teach Computer Science at A Level
  • A confident teacher who has a strong rapport with students of all abilities

Our students learn about Cyber Security and Cyber Crime, App Design, Coding and AI. We are responsive and future focused, so our curriculum evolves with the modern world. We are seeking a lively, highly motivated specialist and innovative thinker to further strengthen the provision in the computing department. The successful candidate will be ready to take on the challenge of developing our curriculum in tandem with the fast growth of this sector.

To provide and be accountable for high quality teaching and learning, contributing to the development of outstanding progress across Skipton Girls High School in line with the stated aims and objectives of the Skipton Girls High School.

All teachers are expected to demonstrate high standards of personal and professional conduct and as a minimum, act within the statutory frameworks which set out professional duties and standards inside and outside Skipton Girls High School.
