What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and outstanding Computer Science teacher who is passionate about enhancing the life chances of our students. You will be an integral part of the Computer Science team and willbe able to demonstratea proven record of accomplishment of success, particularly at Key Stages 4 and 5. The ability to teach level 2 iMedia and A-Level Computer Science is essential.

The Computer Science Department has a proven record of delivering fantastic GCSE and A-level exam results. Our pupils recognise the excellent reputation of the subject, and many go on to study Computer Science and related subjects at top institutions including Oxford, Cambridge and the Dyson Institute.   

At Key Stage 3 students are taught a broad curriculum which consists of Computer Science, Computational Thinking and Digital Literacy. Students in years 7, 8 and 9 are taught in mixed ability groups and have a one-hour lesson per week.

At Key Stage 4 students can choose to study the OCR GCSE Computer Science or OCR iMedia as a vocational option. In the Sixth Form, we offer the new AQA A-Level Computer Science course. Our courses in the department are popular and we expect this to continue over the coming years.
