Essential knowledge and skills:
- An honours degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience of improving outcomes for students in Computer Science as a classroom teacher
- Successful experience of teaching Computer Science across Key Stage 3-4
- An understanding of effective pedagogy
- Knowledge and expertise at teaching Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Excellent classroom management skills
Desirable knowledge and skills:
- Computer Science specialism
- Ability to teach Computer Science to A-level
- Ability to teach mathematics to Key Stage 3 or 4
- Ability to teach an additional subject beyond Computer Science and Digital Media
- Ability to analyse and present data coherently
- Experience of leading school trips and a commitment to the encouraging extra-curricular activities
- Ability to drive and access to own car
