What skills and experience we're looking for

We were inspected by Ofsted at the beginning of November 2022 and are very pleased that Samuel Ward Academy has been graded good in all areas. The report shows that very substantial progress has been made since the previous inspection in 2019. We are looking for an enthusiastic computing and IT teacher to join us as we enter a new and exciting phase of the school’s development.

We have excellent schemes of work in place to support a new team member however there will be opportunities to work with experienced staff to create schemes of work and resources too.

We welcome talented ECTs in application and if successful, ample opportunity will be given to help develop their professional skills. A successful ECT applicant will be fully supported in the role including the provision of a mentor, training opportunities and centralised student behaviour and intervention support.

What the school offers its staff

Samuel Ward Academy is both innovative and forward thinking with teachers who are keen to research and develop their practice engaging in regular CPD opportunities. The IT Team is excited to welcome a new member and we look forward to receiving your application.
