The main focus of this role is to deliver the A Level and BTEC Dance curriculum alongside a small element of the Performing Arts delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher of Dance to join our vibrant and creative Performing Arts team. Dance is a popular and successful subject at Franklin Sixth Form College, with strong student uptake across both vocational and academic pathways. We are seeking a teacher who can bring creativity, energy, and expertise to the department as we continue to develop and widen our curriculum offer and enrichment provision.
We are looking for a well-qualified teacher with a degree in a relevant subject, a passion for Dance, and the ability to motivate and engage students. The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning, with the flexibility to contribute across the wider Performing Arts curriculum area. You should also be eager to play an active role in maintaining our successful Dance Team, supporting productions, planning Dance shows, facilitating professional workshops, and the broader life of the College.
In return, we offer enthusiastic and motivated students who are keen to learn, and a supportive, collaborative working environment where staff are encouraged to innovate. You will benefit from a strong culture of professional development and will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the subject continues to grow. Most importantly, this post offers the chance to make a real difference to students’ futures in a college that values innovation, inclusivity, and success for all.
Franklin College offers a fantastic working environment, where staff are valued and supported in their professional development.
