What skills and experience we're looking for

Please note that interviews may be conducted on a rolling basis with the view of a successful appointment being made before 31st May 2024.

We have a vacancy for a Teacher of Design and Technology who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students in this curriculum area.

We’d like to hear from you if you are:

  • An excellent teacher who is passionate about learning and has strong subject knowledge;
  • Have a high level of KS4 and KS5 teaching experience and delivery of results;
  • Experience in teaching the IBMYP is preferred, but not essential;
  • Collaborative, able to build strong professional relationships;
  • Able to motivate and inspire students and staff to achieve their full potential;
  • Energetic and have a ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • Confident and has strong career aspirations;
  • Committed to safeguarding and the happiness and wellbeing of everyone at the academy.

We know that exceptional Design & Technology practitioners are in high demand which is why we are offering a recruitment and retention bonus of £2,000 or £3,000 for the right candidate (The first instalment payable upon joining, and the second payable after 1 year's service).
