What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Holy Trinity School seek to appoint a dynamic, forward looking candidate to the post of Subject Teacher Design and Technology. This is a great opportunity to join a successful department offering a diverse range of specialisms, and to develop your career in a good school.

This post would be suited to newly qualified or established subject specialist from Timber, Engineering Design or Product Design. You need to demonstrate your commitment to the teaching of your specialist area and have the capacity to continue to develop as a teacher. We require a practitioner who has the enthusiasm, skill and ability to make a positive contribution to this motivated and successful team. You will be committed to teaching across the 11-18 range.

It is desirable that the successful candidate would be able to offer a second subject preferably within the compass of Design and Technology department at least to KS3 standard. Please indicate on your application further expertise or experience outside your material specialism. Applicants will need to evidence their commitment to excellent teaching and learning; to securing good or better outcomes for students; to developing student potential and skills from KS3 onwards, and to promoting the study of the subject at Level 2 / 3

In addition to teaching your primary subject across ages 11 to 18 there is an expectation that you could teach other subjects as directed in order to facilitate the delivery of the curriculum. Relevant support will be offered.
