We are looking for a very talented and dynamic Teacher of Design & Technology who is able to inspire pupils, be innovative and achieve outstanding results. The successful candidate will need to be able to teach GCSE Product Design, Engineering and BTEC Tech Award. The Academy provides extensive opportunities for Professional Development including links to LTSA and Greater Peterborough Teaching School Alliance, which would particularly benefit Early Career Teachers and those wishing to progress to management. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to apply for a TLR (pastoral role) within the Academy.

What the school offers its staff

The Design and Technology Department is a friendly, committed and enthusiastic team. We work together to ensure our pupils and staff enjoy their work and achieve their potential. The Department is highly ambitious and this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of their journey. The Department is very well resourced and the DT classrooms were fully refurbished during Summer 2020. There are two dedicated suites of computers as well as a 3D printer and laser cutter and laptops are provided to all staff. The Academy Trust was also successful in a bid for a whole school Government’s flagship School Rebuilding Programme (SRP) and the process of this has already started.

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
