Teacher of Design & Technology job summary

Teacher of Design and Technology
Full Time
Teachers Main Scale
Required from September 2022

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Design and Technology to join our successful team. The post could suit an NQT as well as a more experienced candidate. In the event of an NQT appointment, the contract and salary would be available for a July start if preferred.

This is an exciting time for our new school as we develop a culture of high expectations focussed on delivering outstanding achievement for all of our students. 2019 (the last series of actual exams) delivered the best ever GCSE results for the school and a recent OFSTED inspection upgraded the academy in every category.

The Park Vale Academy is part of the Redhill Academy Trust. The Academy is also a member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and a chance to work alongside colleagues from other high-performing schools in the region. The Trust also leads the regional Teaching School Hub, delivering local teacher training and the National Professional Qualifications for teachers. The Park Vale Academy became an academy, sponsored by The Redhill Academy Trust, on 1 September 2016.

For a discussion about the role, please contact Mr Bowhay, Headteacher, on the academy telephone number.

An application form can be downloaded from our academy’s website or by contacting Miss R Kay at rkay@parkvaleacademy.org.uk.

Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Closing date for applications: Midday, Monday 23rd May 2022
Interview date: TBC
