What skills and experience we're looking for

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of young people? Do you have a passion for Design Technology and/or Food Technology and believe in the power of practical, creative learning to inspire students? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and inspirational Teacher of Design Technology and/or Food Technology to join our successful and well‑established Technology Department.

You will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a genuine passion for Design Technology and/or Food Technology.
  • Be able to teach Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
  • Inspire, motivate, and challenge students through high‑quality teaching and engaging practical work.
  • Be a supportive, reflective team player who values collaboration.
  • Be committed to inclusive education and helping every young person thrive, regardless of background or ability.

This role is suitable for Early Career Teachers, and we are happy to consider part‑time working for the right candidate.
