Are you committed to delivering an ambitious Design Technology curriculum, helping students to apply knowledge, work iteratively, use tools and technologies safely, and think critically about design, materials and manufacture?


Are you an inspirational Design Technology Teacher, with strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials and Design Technology Food, who can motivate students, maintain high expectations, and secure excellent progress for learners of all abilities?


If so, we would welcome your application to join our Creative and Applied Learning Faculty, contributing to high-quality teaching and learning in Design Technology and supporting creative education across the school.

This role offers a strong opportunity to join a supportive and forward‑thinking Creative and Applied Learning Faculty, delivering a high‑quality, ambitious and coherently sequenced Design Technology curriculum.


As a Teacher of Design Technology, with a specialism in Resistant Materials and or DT Food, you will work closely with colleagues across creative and applied subjects to ensure clear progression, high technical standards and engaging teaching that develops creativity, problem solving and practical skill. You will contribute to curriculum development and teaching practice, supporting students to apply knowledge and skills in meaningful, real‑world contexts.


This position provides the opportunity to be part of a collaborative faculty made up of a range of creative specialisms, where staff work together to inspire students to engage positively and safely with design, technology and creative learning—enabling them to achieve strong outcomes and prepare effectively for future education, employment or training.
