About the role:

  • Deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
  • Support the department in raising and maintaining high standards of student attainment and achievement
  • Promote active learning, monitor progress, and be accountable for student progress in Design & Technology
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment, aligned with safeguarding practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in departmental activities, including trips and open days.

We are seeking an individual who has:

  • A degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching or training in a comprehensive school setting, covering Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Competence in teaching at least one of the following to GCSE level: Design & Technology , Engineering.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding practices, classroom management skills, and the ability to foster a safe learning environment
  • Emotional resilience, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills.
