What skills and experience we're looking for

Teacher of Design Technology, with potential TLR (Engineering, DT or Product Design specialism)

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic workshop-confident teacher to join our Art and Technology Faculty, with a specialism in Engineering or workshop-based Design Technology disciplines. There is also potential for a TLR for Head of DT/Engineering to work with the Head of Faculty and have oversight for the subject area.

We are looking for colleagues with:

  • Strong practical workshop skills and confidence managing machinery safely
  • Experience of delivering Engineering, Design Technology or related technical qualifications at KS3 and/or KS4
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching, behaviour and safety
  • The ability to inspire students through practical, hands-on learning
  • A desire to contribute to curriculum development within a growing technical faculty

A commitment to helping all young people and staff achieve their best is expected of all staff.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver Engineering at KS4 (Level 2)
  • Contribute to KS3 Design Technology rotation
  • Promote high-quality, safe and ambitious workshop practice
  • Support the continued development of technical pathways within the faculty
