Teacher of Economics (Full Time or Part Time 0.80) job summary
Required from January 2022.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and well qualified teacher of Economics. Economics is a highly successful and popular subject within the Sixth Form, and is taught at ‘A’ Level and the International Baccalaureate. The ability to teach Business Studies or Finance would also be desirable.
Economics is an extremely popular course in our outstanding Sixth Form. In partnership with the Peter Jones Foundation, the school launched an International Enterprise Academy in September 2021. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to this exciting initiative. This is an exciting time to join an experienced team who have real ambition for these subjects.
2021 results were ALPS 4 for A Level and ALPS 3 for IB
This would be an attractive opportunity for a new entrant to the profession, although equally attractive to a more experienced colleague. We have a positive commitment to supporting Newly Qualified teachers and a comprehensive staff development programme.
All members of staff working at the school support the aims and ethos of the school and participate in the extensive visits programme.
