What skills and experience we're looking for

The Royal School is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and innovative English teacher to join an ambitious and successful English team from September 2023 in this heavily oversubscribed day and boarding free school. The aptitude and enthusiasm to teach a range of abilities from ages 11-18 is essential. Motivation and passion for the subject is crucial. We would welcome applications from experienced teachers or ECTs who would relish the opportunity of developing the love of literature in our pupils. There may be a responsibility allowance available for a suitable candidate to further develop learning and teaching in English and across the school

What the school offers its staff

As a result of The Royal School’s excellent CPD programme and the supportive English team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to: develop professionally; improve and extend their knowledge; develop skills and experience; share outstanding and innovative practice; and contribute to the development of an exciting, challenging and supportive learning environment in and outside of the classroom.
