The role
We are seeking a highly skilled and talented teacher of English to join our team on a one-year fixed term contract. Passionate about English, you will share our desire to drive outcomes and ensure we offer the best available opportunities for pupils. We welcome applications from candidates who will challenge and excite our students and have the ability to consistently deliver inspirational and varied lessons.
We are ambitious for all, which is reflected in our academically rigorous curriculum.
The candidate
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and committed to the role and able to support the team in the delivery of English. Experience (or willingness to teach) A-Level Media Studies would be advantageous, but not essential.

King Ecgbert School is a large 11-18 secondary school of roughly 1450 students, including a sixth form of around 380 students.
Our school is situated in Dore in the south-west of Sheffield, close to the Peak District. We serve a vibrant and diverse catchment, stretching from the very edge of the city to the very centre, following the Abbeydale corridor; we are a truly comprehensive school.
