Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable English Teacher who is passionate about helping every young person reach their potential?The Portsmouth Academy is seeking a committed Teacher of English to join our team and make a real difference across our mainstream classrooms, onsite provision and off-site alternative provision.This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to teach a broad range of learners in different settings. You will:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Adapt your teaching to meet the needs of students within mainstream classes, onsite alternative provision and a small off-site setting.
  • Work with colleagues, parents and outside agencies to support student engagement, wellbeing and progress.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and our commitment to inclusion.

About You:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.
  • Resilient, creative and able to adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Believes in the potential of every student and is committed to removing barriers to learning.
  • A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with young people, colleagues and families.
