What skills and experience we're looking for
The Whitstable School is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, dedicated, and skilled teacher to join our well-established and popular English Department in the new academic year.
The successful candidate will be passionate about literature and language, committed to achieving strong outcomes at GCSE, and excited by the opportunity to work in partnership with organisations such as The Prince’s Trust to broaden students’ cultural capital and real-world experiences.
We value innovation and creativity, encouraging teachers to bring English alive in the classroom through dynamic pedagogy, rich texts, debate, performance, and purposeful writing opportunities that connect learning to the wider world.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an early career teacher or an experienced teacher looking for a new and exciting challenge. The school offers the opportunity to deliver examination qualifications at Key Stage 4 and 5.
The successful candidate will be:
