Teacher of English job summary
Mark Hall Academy is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of English who believes in the power of education to transform young lives. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with ambition, purpose and momentum, where strong relationships, high expectations and a culture of improvement sit at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about English and can inspire students to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that support all students to achieve their full potential.
At Mark Hall Academy, we believe young people achieve their best when schools get the important things right: excellent teaching, a carefully planned curriculum, high standards of behaviour and genuine pastoral care. We are looking for colleagues who share these values and who are committed to creating classrooms where students feel known, supported and challenged to succeed.
You will join a collaborative English Faculty and a wider staff team that cares deeply about making a visible difference for students and the community we serve. Whether you are an experienced teacher or at an earlier stage in your career, you will be supported through high-quality professional development, clear leadership and a culture built on trust, consistency and teamwork.
As part of BMAT Education, you will benefit from being part of a wider family of schools that values collaboration, staff development and sharing best practice to strengthen outcomes for all young people.
If you are ambitious for students, committed to inclusive education and want to be part of a school with character, drive and heart, we would be delighted to hear from you.
