The Leigh Academy has a great opportunity to appoint a talented and inspiring Teacher of English who will join us from September 2024, strengthening our already successful department even further. Our successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, committed to academic excellence and have the ability to motivate, support and enthuse students. You will join a well-established department with a friendly, dedicated team who achieves KS4 and KS5 results that are better than the national average! The English team works closely together to ensure a high-quality curriculum is delivered to our students. All staff will receive a Google Chromebook and be supported to take their Google Level 1 qualification.You will also have access to our fantastic library facilities to support any curriculum-related research and the reading needs of both students and staff alike.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st April 2024, our Trust comprises 32 geographically organised academies (16 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 20,000 students and employing 3,000 talented staff. Nearly 40% of our academies are judged outstanding overall by Ofsted, versus 15% nationally.
