The English department is a high achieving department with outstanding results at GCSE and A-level. At Highlands School, we offer excellent professional development throughout the year; making sure CPD is focused on current and up to date research. Our department was able to work with subject experts, such as David Didau and Christine Counsell in order to design our KS3 curriculum. Our literature based curriculum provides students with enough lexical challenges that will enable them to master the power of words and learn the art of communication.
