What skills and experience we're looking for

If you are an exceptional and inspirational English practitioner who would be able to add expertise to our team of teachers then we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a person to cover maternity leave. Someone with drive and personal ambition who will inspire and enthuse our pupils and instil in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn. The role will require an individual who is creative, committed to the power of a love of language and determined that all pupils receive the very best of provision in this core subject.

At Risedale School, the English Department, as part of the Communications Faculty, is committed to excellence in teaching. At KS4 pupils study English Language and English Literature. Pupils follow the Edexcel specification. At KS3 pupils follow an interleaved curriculum focusing on high-quality texts from across the English Literary Canon. We are passionate about our curriculum and are seen as being at the forefront of curriculum design across the school.
