Teacher of English job summary
We are currently looking to appoint a passionate and motivated English specialist to teach English in our vibrant English and Communications Faculty. The school is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted following an inspection in April 2023. We continue to strive for excellence, both academically and personally, for our children and young people.
English is a key department within the school and a popular choice at A level. It is a very well-resourced department, with excellent levels of collaboration between teachers. The English block has well-equipped teaching rooms, and a library that has excellent links to the faculty. We also run many trips and projects that connect us with local schools and wider organisations. These include a Carnegie shadowing scheme, Poetry by Heart, theatre visits, mock trials, national creative writing competitions and the Oxfordshire Academy of Broadcast Journalism; you will be joining an enthusiastic and creative team.
