What skills and experience we're looking for

Applications are welcome from suitably qualified ECTs as well as experienced, committed teachers to join a highly successful department. Graveney is an oversubscribed, co-educational school designated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in November 2022.

English is an extremely successful and popular subject at Graveney. Key Stage 4 results in June 2024 were 92% grades 9 -4 in Language and 94% in Literature. Key Stage 5 results are also well above the national average and there are currently around 200 students studying English Literature at A/AS Level. The Department employs a range of dynamic teaching styles and is committed to innovative and diverse curriculum development. Many members of the Department teach across the age and ability range at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
