What skills and experience we're looking for
UK Qualified Teacher Status in the specialist area.
Honours degree in relevant subject
Experience of teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
Ability to workas a member of a team and develop working relationships with colleagues, parents, governors and the community (as appropriate).
Commitment to inclusive teaching.
An awareness of good practice in identifying individual needs and providing appropriate teaching.
Clear evidence of current knowledge and views in subject and curriculum development.
To communicate effectively and concisely both in verbal and written form to a variety of audiences.
A positive attitude to broad aspects of school life and the ability to contribute to new initiatives and developments.
An ability to plan and teach effective lessons that are suitably differentiated to the needs of the students.
High standard of personal organisation and the ability to meet deadlines.
High standards of self-motivation.
A commitment to your own continuous professional development.
Personal commitment to the College’s professional standards, including dress code, as appropriate.
The post will require an enhanced DBS clearance.
