What skills and experience we're looking for
We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated English Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2024. Applications are welcome from ECTs and experienced teachers.
English is a thriving subject with our students achieving in line with national average. We are, therefore, looking to appoint someone who is motivated and committed with a passion for teaching English throughout Key Stages 3 and 4. The English department is a collaborative and caring environment, very much with a team ethos. Oakwood is a large and expanding school of over 1600 students. We have split the population into ‘Years’ which enables the students to be cared for in smaller units. Each student also belongs to a House and we encourage a community ethos. The students are loyal and enjoy the friendly rivalry around House activities. Their personal development is also central to the school ethos.
