Are you a primary trained teacher who is passionate about supporting KS3 learners to build confidence in English and Maths, helping them speak, write and calculate with accuracy, fluency and purpose?

 

Do you believe in nurturing strong literacy and numeracy foundations so students can communicate effectively, reason mathematically, solve problems and enjoy reading a wide range of texts?

To be successful you will need to:

·      Bring strong skills in communication, collaboration, adaptability, listening, empathy and patience, supporting students who may need additional help with developing foundational literacy and numeracy

·      Be qualified to teach at KS2 and confident in teaching KS3 applying primary pedagogy to bridge learning gaps and strengthen core skills.

·      Demonstrate excellent classroom practice, with the ability to engage, motivate and support learners who benefit from a nurturing, structured teaching approach.

·      Think creatively to anticipate potential barriers and design effective solutions, particularly for students who require secure foundations in English and Maths.

·      Model the school’s values of ‘Achievement through Caring’ by fostering a supportive, inclusive and positive learning environment.

·      Contribute fully to school life, including pastoral responsibilities, enrichment activities, and collaborative work with English, Maths and Learning Support teams.

·      Hold high expectations of yourself and your students, modelling consistency, positivity and professionalism and high standards

·      Be committed to working collaboratively to raise achievement and support smooth transition from primary to secondary learning.
