We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational English teacher with a love of language and literature, to teach English at KS3 to KS5. This post is suitable for either an experienced practitioner or a newly qualified colleague.
The successful candidate will be joining a creative and dedicated team characterised by high support, high challenge and a willingness to develop as professionals through sharing good practice with one another. The English Faculty foster a pro-active culture of collaboration and reflective practice that has students’ well-being and success at its heart.
We believe in educating young people not only for their academic success, but to be powerful citizens. English is at the heart of this and our students are passionate about the written and spoken word. We teach challenging texts in mixed prior attainment sets and believe in the power of developing our students’ cultural capital alongside their reading and writing skills.
About You
Candidates must be passionate about teaching and able to demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality teaching, inspire, and motivate young people to achieve outstanding outcomes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well are essential. QTS essential.
