Are you an ambitious and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of English looking to begin your teaching career in a supportive and inspiring environment?

We are seeking a motivated ECT of English who is passionate about language and literature and dedicated to delivering high-quality learning experiences that engage and inspire young people.
As part of our successful English department, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting students of all abilities and contributing to a culture of high expectations and achievement. Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that inspire students and promote excellent progress.
- Assess, monitor and track student achievement, providing timely feedback to support learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and wider school staff to maximise student success and wellbeing.
Pay range: MPS1 - £34,069
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or on track to achieve QTS.
- Degree in English or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire, challenge and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
