Role Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, that engage, challenge, and support all learners.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and positive classroom environment where diversity is celebrated, and every student feels respected and capable of success.
• Assess, track, and support individual student progress, providing constructive feedback that nurtures confidence and continuous improvement.
• Build strong, respectful working relationships with students, colleagues, families, and the wider community.
• Contribute to curriculum development, team planning, and the broader extra-curricular life of the school.
• Actively engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and contribute to whole-school initiatives.

What we are looking for

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent, along with a degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience of working in a UK school environment in either a teaching or classroom support capacity.
• You naturally raise aspirations in the classroom, dedicated to guiding every student toward their best possible outcomes.
• Inclusive Mindset: A deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring every child receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

About the School

Lift Firth Park is a vibrant, mixed secondary school for students aged 11-16. Located in Shiregreen, Sheffield, we serve around 1,200 pupils and reflect a richly diverse community, with more than a third of students speaking English as an additional language. Our school is currently undergoing an exciting period of transformational change, and we are already seeing its positive impact-in the classroom, across the curriculum and throughout our culture.
