What skills and experience we're looking for
We are currently recruiting for a part time Teacher of English (maternity cover).
You will work alongside Principal Jessica Stevenson and the UTC staff to develop a centre of excellence focusing on Computing, Health Science and Sport Science. Under the direction of the Curriculum Director for English and Communications you will directly teach GCSE English Language and English Literature. At Post-16 you may also deliver GCSE English resit courses and A-Level English Literature.
You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13–19-year-olds in an employer led technology rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. We also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who have the skills and attributes to develop their expertise within our unique environment.

UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park is a University Technical College which opened in September 2016 on the Olympic Legacy Park site in north-east Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The UTC is sponsored by The Sheffield College and Sheffield Hallam University, who also sponsor the UTC Sheffield which opened in 2013, Specialising in Computing, Health Sciences and Sport Science. Students can join in Y9 or Y12 to study a combination of GCSEs/A Levels and a technical specialism.
