Overall Role and Remit
o To maximise the achievement of all children in your charge
o To be responsible for these children’s safety and welfare
o To assist in the development of the department and other teachers within the school.
Essential educational requirements
Good Degree and PGCE in relevant subject area
Evidence of further professional development at Masters level.
Essential skills and experience
Ability or experience of teaching English to KS5.
Evidence of excellent teaching – at least Good judgments
Track record of excellent examination success for students of all abilities.
Familiarity with the KS3 and GCSE requirements in English
Understanding of GCSE reforms across both language and literature.
