What skills and experience we're looking for

Candidates suitable for the role will:

  • love reading and discussing literature from a broad range of genres and time periods.
  • be excited to teach high achieving students who are eager to learn
  • be confident in teaching English language and literature up to and including GCSE to high achieving students and be excited about moving on to teaching to A level
  • be passionate about personal and professional development and demonstrate a willingness to engage with the findings of evidence-based research through our whole school CPD programme.
  • help extend and enrich students’ school experiences beyond the curriculum
  • have the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and parents
