We are looking for an inspiring individual who will relish the opportunity to teach English to our highly motivated students. You should be a good Honours graduate and be able to teach post-16 to the highest academic standard.
English is studied by all students throughout the School including the Sixth Form as part of the IB Diploma. Students in Years 7–11 and in our co-ed Sixth Form become increasingly independent learners as they progress through the School and achieve excellent outcomes at GCSE and in the internationally recognised IB Diploma. Experience of teaching the IB is not essential as training is offered.
Tonbridge Grammar School is rated outstanding by Ofsted (October, 2019). The School offers an internationally minded education and an extensive professional development programme for all staff supporting induction, leadership development and well-being.

We are a high achieving selective grammar school with academy status, educating girls between the ages of 11 to 16 and girls and boys in the Sixth Form (1166 students on roll). The School prepares students for GCSEs and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme following the Middle Years Programme in Years 7-9.
