Teacher of English job summary

You will work closely with the English team and play an active role in the ongoing development of high-quality teaching and learning within the department. You will contribute to wider departmental planning and support the delivery of extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities that enhance students’ engagement with English.

This role would suit a skilled and reflective classroom practitioner who is committed to delivering engaging lessons, securing strong outcomes for pupils, and developing their practice within a supportive and ambitious department.

You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with English colleagues across the Trust, contributing to shared practice and benefiting from high-quality professional development. As a through-school, we are continuing to develop a cohesive English curriculum across all key stages, and you may have opportunities to work alongside primary colleagues to support smooth transition and strong foundations in literacy.

The chosen candidate will need to:
