Teacher of English job summary

As a Teacher of English you will have due regard to the requirements of the National Curriculum, the Academy’s aims, objectives and schemes of work and any policies of the Governing Body. Facilitate and encourage learning which enables pupils to achieve high standards. Promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils. You will be responsible for the wellbeing and discipline of all pupils, maintain positive relationships with the parents / carers of the pupils and be responsible for your own safety and that of others.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in a classroom with pupils of a relevant age and have successful experience as a member of a team. Candidates will also have qualified teacher status or degree and relevant experience, successful completion of ECT induction year qualifications and will have the motivation to work with children and young people, have the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
