Teacher of English job summary

Wolgarston High School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative Teacher of English from January 2027. This is a new and exciting opportunity arising from the growth and expansion of the school. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop in an excellent school environment where coaching is put at the heart of career development.


The primary duties are to effectively deliver a broad and inclusive curriculum, to inspire students in KS3, 4 and 5 whilst ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning . The successful candidate will be joining a very experienced team where there is the opportunity to learn and grow.

This is an opportunity for either an ECT or an experienced teacher. Pay scale is MPS 1 - UPS 3, depending on experience.
