Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation to cook, innovate, and understand the science behind what we eat? Wardle Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant Design & Technology department.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging, high-quality practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition). From teaching fundamental culinary skills and nutritional science to exploring global food sustainability, you will build a dynamic curriculum that sparks curiosity and life skills in every student.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification.
- A strong background in Food Technology, Home Economics, or Food & Nutrition.
- The ability to manage a safe, well-equipped food practical environment.
- Passion for motivating students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative team mindset.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Art & Design or a related field.
- A “can-do” attitude with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and parents.
