Teacher of Design Technology job summary

Are you passionate about Design Technology and have the ability to deliver high quality lessons and achieve excellent results? Then come and join a thriving and forward thinking Art & Design Technology Faculty at Rainhill High School, including Rainhill Sixth.

We are seeking to appoint for September 2022, an outstanding, proactive and dynamic Teacher with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for Textiles, who can inspire young people to develop and creatively explore their ideas, skills and confidence in a range of creative and technical disciplines. The ability to teach design technology to KS5 would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational practitioner with a proven track record of securing outcomes across the key stages and have a genuine commitment to teaching and developing a love of creative technologies.

Rainhill High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form centre located in Rainhill, Merseyside, England.

The school converted to an academy under Rainhill Learning Village in March 2017. More recently, the school has become part of the Stephenson Trust.

The school is the official Liverpool F.C. Academy Education Centre in Merseyside for under-18 players to be educated. Notable former pupils from the academy include Raheem Sterling and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The school has recently partnered with FA FE to strengthen post-16 education for the players. FE FA is owned and run by Robbie Fowler, former Liverpool and England footballer.

In addition to Liverpool FC, it has formal partnerships with Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Liverpool John Moores University and University of Leeds.
