Geography is a highly popular subject across all key stages, and we are looking for a dedicated, solution-focused practitioner who is committed to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons. A Teacher of Geography at Wanstead High School becomes part of an inclusive, supportive and collaborative team that is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for all pupils, regardless of background or need.

The department is well resourced across all key stages and places a strong emphasis on high-quality fieldwork to bring geographical concepts and case studies to life. Opportunities include GCSE fieldwork such as coastal management at Walton-on-the-Naze and studies of development and living standards through comparisons of Stratford and Islington. At A Level, smaller-group fieldwork supports students’ NEA investigations and independent geographical enquiry.
