Job summary
Brayton Academy seek an inspiring and ambitious teacher of Geography to join our very effective, committed and hard-working faculty. The successful candidate will have an outstanding teaching ability, have the skills to motivate and engage students, and will have a relentless ambition to enrich the lives and learning experiences of our young people.
Brayton Academy was awarded ‘Outstanding in all areas’ at the Ofsted inspection in June 2019 and highlighted the pupils’ exemplary behaviour and excellent attitudes to learning, the outstanding Leadership Team and the substantial progress made by pupils in lesson thanks to skillful teaching.

Essential educational requirements
Degree in Geography or equivalent

QTS
Essential skills and experience
Teaching across the age 11-16 age range in training or in post;
Excellent classroom practitioner;
A keen interest in developing teaching and learning within your subject area;
A good understanding of planning and assessment techniques;
The ability to create a stimulating learning environment;
High expectations of self, colleagues and learners;
Good communication skills.
