What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a full or part time, committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to join a large and well-resourced department with excellent results at all levels. The successful candidate will be required to teach geography to KS3, KS4 and KS5.

We wish to appoint a colleague who:

What the school offers its staff

The Piggott School Geography Department:

  • consistently achieves red ALPS grades for GCSE results (grade 3 2024/25)
  • achieved 91% A*/C at A-Level (2024/25)
  • consistently attracts large cohorts at GCSE (currently 6 sets in each of Year 10 and 11)
  • currently has upwards of 70 students studying for A-Level geography (5 classes across Y12 and Y13)
  • offers a range of day trips and residential trips, including an annual Iceland expedition.
