Teacher of Geography
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our Humanities team. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Geography to pupils of all abilities and ages and also to contribute towards the wider life of the school. We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as teachers who are newly qualified.

Essential educational requirements
A good Honours Degree
Qualified Teacher Status
Continuing professional development (if they are not a Newly Qualified Teacher)
An effective teaching career, with a track record of above-average exam outcomes for pupils (or, if they are an NQT or student, good references from their training establishment and/or placement schools)
Essential skills and experience
An up-to-date knowledge of the best classroom practice, including the use of assessment for learning
A secure knowledge of good practice for child protection
An ability to inspire young people
An absolute commitment to their welfare and development
An understanding of the moral seriousness of what schools do
A conviction that education, while important, should also be fun
A belief that schools should be inclusive communities in which everyone is equally valued
A love for their subject
A commitment to a career-long process of professional learning and development
A commitment to direct personal contribution to extra-curricular activities
An ability to form outstanding relationships with colleagues and with pupils
Resilience, enthusiasm and a sense of humour
