Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning and delivering dynamic geography lessons that captivate students' interest and foster a deeper appreciation for the Earth's physical and human landscapes.

  • Exploring key geographical concepts and phenomena, such as climate change, population dynamics, and globalisation, through interactive and hands-on learning experiences.

  • Assessing student progress and understanding through a variety of assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.

  • Integrating technology and real-world examples into your teaching to enhance students' understanding and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore new ideas, and express their perspectives on geographical issues.

  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop cross-curricular connections and interdisciplinary learning opportunities that enrich students' understanding of geography's relevance in the modern world.

  • Engaging with parents and the wider community to promote the importance of geographical literacy and inspire a sense of stewardship for the planet among students.
