The Sutton Academy is seeking to appoint a passionate and inspirational Teacher of Geography to join our academy from January 2026. This role will suit either newly or recently qualified, enthusiastic and aspirational teachers or those with excellent practice who wish to share their expertise and make a difference. This is an opportunity for a well-qualified individual to make a positive contribution to our Humanities Faculty. You will work alongside a hardworking team of colleagues who are incredibly welcoming, supportive and committed to delivering a curriculum which will improve the lives of the community we serve.
The academy offers a bespoke CPD and coaching programme, which is evidence informed and grounded in the latest research.
The successful candidate will:
- Be dedicated to the local community and motivated to work with all stakeholders to enrich the lives of our students.
- Accept their professional obligation to continually improve their practice.
- Be hard-working, will welcome feedback and have a positive mind-set.
- A team player who recognises the importance of collaboration.
- Work tirelessly to instil the highest standards of behaviour and virtues in our students.
The successful candidate will be a hardworking teacher who is fully committed to being the best practitioner they can be so they can make a difference to the students at The Sutton Academy.
